Aims
Counterbalance is a non-profit educational organization working to promote the public understanding of science, and how the sciences relate to wider society. The hope is that individuals, the academic community, and society as a whole will benefit from a struggle toward integrated and counterbalanced responses to complex questions.
The purpose is to provide a variety of services including: audio/visual, production, design, and general consulting. The declared intention is to use the considerable experience in these areas to serve as a catalyst and help make existing multidisciplinary research work accessible to a wider audience, principally though the use of interactive technologies.

Counterbalance has been funded and is supported by Adrian M. Wyard, who is the Executive Director.
The Organisation has worked with PBS Online, The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, The Metanexus Institute, Science and Religion Forum.

Services and Resources
The website offers a video library (Counterbalance Interactive Library), that includes interviews, bibliographies, glossary. The wide documentation is available thanks to the cooperation of many academics and researchers and it is completely free.
The data are divided in: "Subject", "Term", "Person", "Theme", "Question", "Interviews". The video library has been recently converted to the latest H.264 technology.
The website offers a page of links with other web sites on Science & Religion.
It is possible to subscribe a newsletter to receive updates and information.
